Vaucluse

Mr and Mrs S of Vaucluse first visited our showroom with the intention of purchasing a high quality traditional kitchen that would be both aesthetically pleasing as well as being practical and functional.

After visiting the famous ‘’kitchen strip” in Penshurst Street Willoughby, our clients ultimately made their way to the Degabriele Kitchens showroom and met our award winning designer, John Horvath.

Having met John, they did not need any persuasion to decide that Degabriele Kitchens was the right company for them.

In their words…, “we were blown away by the stunning showroom, attention to detail and by John’s innovative and challenging concept”.

John Horvath worked very closely with our clients, developing and refining the initial concept design, ensuring that their requests and important points of practicality were incorporated into the design. One of the most important design criteria was that the kitchen be in keeping with the relaxed and “beachy” Hampton style home.

John’s design compliments this style perfectly

The aesthetics established, John then worked very closely with the client to ensure that the kitchen was functional and practical. To achieve this, John incorporated modern elements such as soft close drawers and hinges by Blum, as well as Blum “Orgaline” drawer organisers.

The combination of modern features and mechanisms with traditional features such as proud kickboards, profiled doors, ornate handles and a soft hand paint finish ensured the success of this project.

One of the biggest challenges of this project was to incorporate the four distinct spaces in the kitchen and living areas. These were:- the kitchen itself, a dresser, additional display storage and a window seat area.

John’s design successfully connected these four spaces with the kitchen acting as the central hub of the various spaces.

The final space flows seamlessly and connects with the other spaces within the home.

Like all Degabiele Kitchens and Joinery, the kitchen was custom built using handcraft techniques in combination with the latest, state of the art machinery and high tech equipment in our own factory.

The spectacular finished product is a testament to John’s design excellence and wide experience.

This kitchen is an award winning kitchen and, in fact, It won the 2015 Sub-Zero kitchen design award, in the traditional category.

Whether working on a blanc canvas or creative problem solving, John takes pride in delivering a meaningful and lasting contribution to all of Degabriele’s clients.
