The homeowner of this seaside Coogee residence wanted a highly functional space with bountiful storage and room to cook and host friends and family. Visually, the client dreamt of clean, simple and modern lines and textures.

Design Features
Contrasting benchtops create visual interest and help zone the spaces. The main kitchen benchtop is a warm white colour. It contains the clean lines of an integrated Abbey sink and Galiano tap, as well as an Ilve cooktop. In contrast, the kitchen island benchtop is dark grey. As a result, the island stands independently and feels more like a table for friends to commune.
Navurban timber veneer cabinets in Birchgrove create warmth and texture and house an integrated Bosch dishwasher. Gorgeous, translucent glass is used to create a display pantry. The glass helps break up the timber throughout, also adding visual interest and light dispersion. DéGabriele created custom integrated handles for the pantry in the same veneer. The double glass pantry doors are balanced beautifully with the Fisher&Paykel fridge.
One of the client’s favourite features is the concealed, open walk-in pantry. This clever design creates a fluid and accessible function for the homeowner, while being able to easily conceal utility items and keep visual clutter to a minimum.
