Study / Guest Room
We love the result of this beautiful room. The client wanted a space that could quickly convert a home office into a guest room, and they are delighted with the finished result. Whether used as a study or as a guest room, there’s no need to compromise on form or function, thanks to clever and gorgeous built-in cabinetry with an incorporated Murphy bed.
Floor to ceiling cabinetry offers a mixture of concealed storage and open shelves for displaying books, keepsakes and artwork, doubling as bedside tables when visitors stop by. The base of the bed is finished with the same matte white cabinetry, creating a seamless wall unit when the room is used as a study. The result is a room that is bright, intentional, versatile… and much loved by the client!
Under Stairs Pantry
Another favourite feature of the build is the understairs pantry. This often tricky, dead space is converted expertly into a combination of open shelves, closed cabinets and counter space. Thanks to its clever design, the pantry also includes a wall-mounted Ilve oven and microwave, Franke sink and Zip tap, creating a butler’s pantry. A white palette helps the space feel bright, while the textured mosaic tile splashback and Armac Martin handles (from Gregory Croxford Living) add visual interest and a luxurious finish.
Sliding doors allow it to be tucked away or on display!
Main Kitchen
The brief was to create a kitchen that is highly functional, with ample storage and a large island around which the family can gather.
Soft white cabinets provide a range of visual and storage options, including glass-fronted display cabinets, concealed cupboards and multi-sized drawers. Every inch of space is optimised with cabinets extending to the ceiling. An industrial feel stainless steel Ilve rangehood and cooktop anchors the space and adds textural interest.
A sweeping island takes centre stage, with a gorgeous Caesarstone benchtop in Frosty Cantina. The island is large enough to include an integrated Franke sink and still have generous counter space. Under bench seating and open storage offer the balance of practicality and design interest that the client was seeking.
An AEG integrated dishwasher and Fisher&Paykel integrated fridge/freezer help maintain flow and scale and help to elevate the luxurious feel of this inviting kitchen.
